On Liu Xu's birthday Song Rang gives her an expensive necklace, but the event flips when the Song family declares her formally engaged to Mr. Rong Yanyun. The engagement is a deal: one year of cooperation rights between the families in exchange for Xu's betrothal; the Song family vows to bring her back afterward.
