An accused protector fails to keep Song Rang safe and is violently expelled by the Song family, begging not to be abandoned and insisting he didn't hurt Song Rang. Elsewhere a man vows to fight the Song family because they failed 'her' and announces he's going abroad; another says he'll leave to explain the misunderstanding. Villagers press Liu Xu to accept Yanyun—who's waited fifteen years, loves him, and even prepared an apartment—while Yanyun realizes someone offers unconditional shelter. The episode ends with the expelled man's plea and the family calling 'Rong Yanyun,' leaving who will defend her unresolved.
