A young woman arrives at House Mar, pleading to be taken in to avoid becoming a blood slave. Lilian, the human lady of the house, wants to help her due to their similar backgrounds, but Adrian, a young master, warns Lilian that not all humans are trustworthy. Years later, Adrian confronts Lilian, accusing her of maliciously spreading rumors and faking her affection for him and Louis to become the bride of House Mar. He declares neither he nor Louis will ever marry her. Realizing her years of loyalty meant nothing, a heartbroken Lilian decides to leave and accepts a marriage proposal from the heir of the Vampire Royal Family instead.
