New Year, New Truth: I'm Not Poor - الحلقة 9

At a New Year family gathering, John's parents present Cora with an ancestral imperial-green necklace and declare her their future daughter-in-law after she and John were together the night before. Cora refuses the lavish gift, insisting they are mistaken. Her mother objects to passing off fakes, while the Fosters press the necklace as formal acknowledgment of the couple. The warm scene collapses when Mr. Foster sneers they're trying to get something for nothing, leaving Cora publicly humiliated and the necklace's ownership unresolved.
