Wanda returns home distraught, telling her mother that her agent Mandy stole credit for her novel and took the royalties. They plan to confront Mandy, but Wanda suddenly wakes kneeling as Ms. Nord in a different world. Servants bow and announce she's Wanda Nord, eldest daughter of Swayton's top tycoon; people fear her and beg forgiveness. She realizes she's inside her own novel and is accused as the story's villain—someone even snaps, "Change my shoes now!" She searches for her family, finds Mrs. Nord unhappy, and a girl who looks exactly like Wanda appears, leaving her identity unresolved.
