The Nords order guards to hold Yale until the engagement, while Wanda and her allies celebrate — the called-off match lowered Stacy’s guard and gave them an opening. Mr. and Mrs. Nord then receive a Lake family proposal and find the engagement party moved up to tomorrow, creating an immediate, unresolved deadline.
