At a celebratory dinner about the reform and new opportunities, Marnie skirts questions while friends toast to new beginnings and worry about Alda’s failing diner. Martin presses her about a fight with Wesley after the camera goes missing. Marnie reveals that in a past life Wesley gave money to Jasmine and her mother, and Martin later used his savings to support Marnie and Wesley, causing his debt default. Refusing to drag him down again, she abruptly tells him, "I want a divorce." Martin is left stunned, repeating, "Divorce?"
