At a cemetery, someone pleads to their absent father, haunted by the piano pieces they learned—asking if playing "Marriage of Love" changed anything. Elsewhere a man confronts betrayal: he discovers his wife let the murderer's son into their home to play a rearrangement of "Brilliance," the song he once wrote for Chelsea. He realizes the ladder he built for her dreams has turned into a weapon aimed at him, and fury and confusion grow into a confrontation.
