Five days remain in the cooling-off period and Morgan never returned. Mrs. Lawrence begins packing up and discarding her belongings. Later, a woman apologizes to a young woman after a visit from her boyfriend and offers to treat her to dinner. She admits she loved him, broke rules, and is now pregnant; he’s been avoiding her. She overheard him sleeping with someone and wonders if he has another family. Then she confesses, “If she finds out that I'm Morgan's wife,” and admits Morgan won’t let her off — exposure looms with five days left.
