At an academy event a falling spotlight nearly strikes Isabel Lawson until campus heartthrob Lucas Carter dives in to save her. The crowd realizes Isabel is the famed Novara Musical Theatre lead and top graduate. Isabel admits a scraped knee but brushes off concern. Between comforting exchanges she relives a dream about having once groomed Lucas into stardom to spite someone named Allen, only for him to favor a woman called Ava. Lucas warns he could've lost her forever; Isabel insists she’s fine and challenges him to test it, leaving him uncertain.
