Mandy's son Charlie and Quennie reveal they accepted the half‑million bride price to cover Henry's urgent medical bills. Mandy protests that she is too old and refuses to wed a man who is a 'vegetable,' but Charlie accuses her of selfishness, threatens her inheritance, and insists she comply. Under pressure she capitulates and murmurs, "I'll marry that man." Her reluctant acceptance buys the money but commits her to a forced remarriage and its uncertain consequences.
