At a company gathering Kieran, newly released from prison, returns while colleagues mock his brother for nearly wrecking Lund Co. Kieran insists he must get married before dealing with family business. Guests resent the idea and ask if his partner is a prisonmate; Kieran says he met her in prison but she wasn’t an inmate. The woman panics overnight, then reconsiders and calls back: "Let's get married." They set city hall at 10 tomorrow, but as she hesitates someone interrupts with "Too late," leaving the plan and her doubts unresolved.
