The Rejected Daughter Is a Magic Prodigy - Episode 2

Ophelia Blackwood returns to her family, bruised and pleading with her mother to end her engagement to Corvinus Vexley, who tortures her with magic. Her brother Orion opposes this, as he needs Vexley's political influence to inherit their house. When Ophelia's sister Elise tries to intervene, their father Cygnus declares that a Blackwood daughter's duty is to sacrifice for the family. As Ophelia and Elise try to flee, Cygnus physically stops them and forces Ophelia to return. Distraught, Ophelia jumps to her death. In the aftermath, Cygnus orders her body sent to Vexley, and when Orion expresses fear of Vexley's retaliation, Cygnus coldly declares that Elise will now marry him in her sister's place.
