At a club, Winnie confronts Thomas after learning he lied about having terminal cancer and used her as a toy. She accuses him of breaking his promise to marry, reveals she worked three jobs, was pregnant, and risked donating bone marrow to pay for his surgery. Thomas brushes her off; his friends force her to drink and push her away. Minutes later a traffic crash kills Winnie and the baby. Thomas collapses, admits guilt, leaves an expensive ring and a longevity lock for the unborn child, and vows to atone — but Winnie is dead.
