The Sacred Love Worm - Episode 1

At a blood recognition ceremony, Miriam is declared master of the mutarite and new leader of Spinegrove. Officials warn every leader must conceive a successor within a year or the mutarite will devour them. They say the mutarite can help find the fated one but caution Miriam — this is her first time leaving Spinegrove and she must not use worm hex in front of others. She tells Mr. Peck and Mr. Day she'll return with Twizzle, then departs. Outside she calls for Twizzle and apologizes, "It wasn't on purpose." She leaves with the mutarite's deadline and that unexplained apology unresolved.
