The Sunshine in His Eyes - Episode 1

A blind nineteen-year-old gives birth alone while neighbors gossip she donated her corneas to an ex who left her. Soon after, a crowd attacks a man in the street and Nancy Yates — who says she saved a seriously injured man two years ago — steps in. When someone pulls a gun she orders them not to move, shields him, and forces the group to flee. She offers help — 'I'll be your eyes' — after he admits he has no family. An attacker shouts, 'I won't let this go,' leaving his choice and their safety unresolved.
