The Witch’s Last Blessing - Episode 3

Lyra arrives at a family party only to be rejected by Morwenna, the woman who agreed to raise her after her father's death. Morwenna claims she is too busy with a wedding and cannot continue caring for Lyra. The conflict escalates when another man, Roderick, reveals Morwenna only took Lyra to exploit her father's magical crest and now wants to discard her. He offers money and demands they never return. Despite Morwenna's weak protests, Roderick publicly declares Lyra, who has broken mana channels, is unwanted 'dead weight' and bans her from the house, forcing Lyra to leave in disgrace.
