Through the Puppet's Tears, I Loved You - Épisode 9

At Cindy's birthday party guests praise Ms. Lane and Mr. Dalton and whisper that Ms. Lane's baby will be the heir, implying Mrs. Dalton has lost status. Mrs. Dalton arrives and tension spikes. Serena openly taunts Cindy, produces an old engagement ring Nigel once gave and hints Cindy is a mistress to humiliate her. A friend jumps in, defends Cindy and insists Serena was joking, refusing to let Cindy be tarnished. The crowd then mocks the wife as jealous and foolish. The episode ends with Cindy defended but the family's social fallout and the heir dispute unresolved.
