Vengeance Complete, Life at the Top - Episode 5

Vera wakes after a violent confrontation in which a woman screams that Lionel loves her and taunts Vera for losing her baby. The attacker claims Lionel had Vera's uterus transplanted into her and calls Vera "worthless" while Lionel and others try to intervene. At the hospital Vera learns the miscarriage caused severe damage and doctors say she'll never conceive again. Lionel promises to take her back to the hospital. By episode's end Vera agrees to marry a Holt and return to Bayton, but the infertility verdict and the transplant accusation leave the truth—and Lionel's role—unresolved.
