At Joseph and Summer’s wedding, Sherry — who married Joseph while seven months pregnant after loving him for ten years and calling him "my brother in name only" — storms the ceremony when a second bride appears. She accuses them of setting her up, strikes Summer and Joseph, and declares, "I, Sherry Whelan, don't want you anymore." She then collapses from severe hemorrhaging. At the hospital the baby is saved but Sherry dies; staff say, "Sorry for your loss." The episode closes with Grandpa's cry and the newborn left alive while the family reels.
