At a rehearsal for Chloe's first performance, Chloe thanks Eric for arranging support, but Jessie storms in demanding to know why Chloe is wearing her costume and headdress — a family keepsake. Eric says Chloe is his junior and had a last-minute problem, but Jessie insists Chloe remove it. Chloe apologizes; the ancient costume falls apart in her hands. Enraged, Jessie strikes Chloe and accuses her of disrespecting the dead. Chloe offers to take the blows to settle Jessie, and Eric, instead of stopping her, permits it — the episode ends with Chloe being hit and the fallout unresolved.
