Villagers gossip that Queenie, who married the Clark family's son, is a diligent, lucky daughter-in-law found "by the roadside." At the same time Bobby runs into Mr. Wilson and learns—surprising him—that Ms. Sanders, chair of the Sanders Group, has appointed him head of security. Colleagues urge him not to forget his roots as he climbs. Bobby publicly announces the promotion to the gathered villagers.
