Four years later the narrator reports Yoho Estate is worth over $100M and giving it to Wendell will vault the Lewis family into Marine City’s elite. At Wendell’s homecoming, Yvette—who waited four years—shows up but is publicly rebuked by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis. Wendell is presented and declares, "Now, you're officially mine. When I come back, we're tying the knot." Yvette is left humiliated as the family’s maneuvers remain unresolved.
