Phone dies as a family rushes to a hotel where Grandma plans to publicly introduce Meave. At the car, Grandma admits Meave's background doesn't fit the family but insists Meave is a good person and now her granddaughter-in-law. Meanwhile at Meave's workplace a colleague confronts her, threatens to file a complaint and take the case to Mr. Pinkman, insisting Meave is only a worker and demanding the matter be settled. Staff worry they'll lose jobs if the dispute erupts. Just before Mrs. Pinkman arrives with the granddaughter-in-law, Meave cannot be found; people call her name frantically, leaving her absence unresolved.
