Molly, after saving a client's mother, urges Rex Palmer to return; Rex reports the Loki system runs smoothly but warns the emergency code is only a stopgap. The tech team jokes until Mr. Dutt storms in, docks pay and formally fires Rex, calling him 'ex-head.' The episode ends with the almost-complete Loki project left under a nominal leader with limited qualifications while the team reels and emergency measures remain in place.
