Colleagues urge him to swallow his pride; he leaves but asks for his monthly salary. Management refuses, citing absences and insubordination and saying his pay and bonus were already deducted. They accuse him of owing $3,000 in company expenses, then bar him from taking any company property—ordering him to remove his company-paid work clothes and exit empty-handed, humiliated and unsettled.
