At a hospital beside a dying patriarch, his wife presses their son James to marry Yara to carry on the family line and forbids his attachment to a 'lowly' Sheila. James refuses, prompting a bitter family confrontation over duty and choice. Meanwhile Mr. Zarn brings DNA results proving an unidentified child is Mr. Leonard's biological son and rushes to tell him. As loved ones plead at his bedside, the staff declares 'that kid is your son.' The episode ends with the revelation landing on the dying man and the family's succession left suddenly unresolved.
