During a street confrontation a child is forced to surrender a crystal ball and told to choose between the toy and his dog, Hank. Mrs. Leonard and another adult seize the scene, dragging the child to the office while one threatens to smash the crystal ball. The child pleads that Hank stayed with me and starved with me and that Hank is all he has besides Mommy. At the office Ms. Yonwin hears a medical assessment: he has congenital heart disease.
