At a gathering Celia and Nicholas are exposed after a kiss and called "cheaters." Nicholas declares, "I'm in love with Lena!" but says his family won't accept Lena, so he'll marry Celia and expects her to accept Lena. Celia steps away to fix her lipstick. Later Isabelle's emerald earrings—an heirloom gift—are reported missing. Staff and Isabelle, recalling Celia's earlier plea to Nicholas' uncle Sterling Holden, accuse her of taking them. A server demands, "Will you hand it over, or should I take it myself?" The episode ends with Celia publicly accused and facing a confrontation.
