At Isabelle's birthday party the missing earrings are found tucked in the couch of Ms. Isabelle's room, triggering a scene. Celia insists she didn't steal them, then remembers she took them out to admire and forgot to put them back; she apologizes. Ms. Jones had already accused others, and Celia pushes back, telling her mother to take her anger out on her, not Isabelle, and accusing Ms. Jones of always standing by Isabelle while Celia is her biological daughter.
