Ms. Brooks, who learned from Damian that her parents were involved in a scandal, tells Uncle Sterling she will break off her engagement to Nicholas because he doesn't care. Sterling warns canceling the wedding three months away will destroy her reputation, but agrees to force Nicholas to call it off when she insists. While he dries her hair he reminds her she has one of three granted wishes left. A messenger delivering Mr. Holden's gift asks if she'd use that third wish to marry him, leaving her choice unresolved at episode's end.
