A Notts-Devins alliance wedding is interrupted when the Notts' flight hits heavy turbulence; with the grooms delayed, the families rush the ceremony with only Elly and Katie present. Elly forgoes a wedding dress, they exchange rings, and Elly slips the family's heirloom onto Katie, provoking shocked gossip. After quick congratulations Katie is sent to Villa 3 to rest. At the villa arrivals shiver; one guest warns, "Katie is just a young lady. Control your temper. Don't pick on her."
