After Dr. Eriksson rescues her, Ms. Corby gives him a rare, homemade cake as thanks and asks to exchange contacts because her chest still feels unsettled. He refuses his number and prepares to leave. To delay him she stages a public stunt—a countdown and a sudden commotion—but it backfires when he warns that the same trick won't work twice. She protests, 'It's not what you think,' and someone then notices beads, saying they are the ones he always carries. Her ruse is exposed and the beads pose a new, unresolved question.
