At the Sea God’s blessing ceremony, where the chosen mermaid becomes Sea Queen, Princess Serena’s sister Lina accuses Serena of pushing her. Serena denies it and coldly warns her not to cause trouble. The high priest announces that the Sea Spirit has chosen Serena, the golden-tailed princess, as the destined queen, stunning the court. Lina, a third-rank mermaid, pretends to apologize while gloating over Serena’s victory. Now the new queen, Serena declares she will choose a consort, leaving everyone to wonder who she will select.
