Ruler of the Ancient Seas - Episode 4

A mermaid confronts her sister, who has stolen her fiancé Kaelen. The sister mocks her for being a low-ranking 'blue tail' destined to bear black eggs, a disgrace to their race. When the sister challenges her to find a new mate, the woman defiantly claims her pure golden tail heritage allows her to bear golden eggs regardless. However, the gathered mermen openly reject her, calling her filthy and unwanted because of the prophecy about black eggs. The episode ends with her publicly shamed and facing the immediate crisis of having no consort.
