At the Mirage Court, guests at a Randall reception grow impatient waiting for Brit’s returned sister, who they deride as a ‘backwoods’ girl from the slums and insist can’t compare to elegant Brit or the speaker’s “future wife.” Snide remarks and a push to begin raise the pressure. Then an announcer proclaims, “Ms. Madelyn Randall is here.” Guests murmur that she “looks so sweet,” while someone adds, “You don't know her yet.” The episode closes with Madelyn’s entrance freezing the room and the family’s response still unresolved.
