Chloe resists, saying, "I don't need to prove anything to you," and notes the teacher had distributed test kits. Luna is sent to tell Mr. Zuller that Chloe’s "messy love life" makes her unfit to be Mr. Toll’s assistant. Mr. Toll arrives to invest, raising the stakes; Chloe’s job and reputation now depend on how Mr. Zuller reacts.
