Ada, a Hugh Group employee, is caught sneaking into Mr. Hugh’s suite and accused of stealing. Co-workers Vera and Ms. Joan confront her, find a luxurious diamond ring and demand a search, mocking that Ada came to seduce their boss. Ada protests, saying "Mr. Hugh told me to come get it," but Joan insists the ring is for Mrs. Hugh and taunts Ada when it doesn't fit. The scene ends after the search and public humiliation. Later, colleagues note Mr. Hugh's meeting ended unusually fast; he says he's rushing to propose, leaving the ring's ownership and Ada's role unresolved.
