Wings Clipped, Yet She Soared - Episode 2

Cilla confronts her parents after they reveal plans to marry her off to the Carters to fund Quincy's tuition, despite her acceptance into NU. Their father beats and threatens her, demanding she agree to the marriage; Cilla refuses. He then storms out to buy a promised smartphone for Paige, leaving a tense house. Paige comforts Cilla, tending her wounds and declaring, "I won't let them marry you off," then vows to make sure Cilla attends university. The sisters gain a brief reprieve, but the arranged marriage plan and their father's warning still hang over them.
