Grandparents show up to meet newborn Ann and the new mother accuses Jason of plotting to use them to seize their house and money. The baby scratches Jason, refusing him, while his side gloats they've already secured the house and funds. The mother, whose telepathy connects only with Ann, vows to protect her and singles out Jason's secret lover, Jane Luke.
