Bread Before Gold - Episode 10

At a fundraising dinner Lucy offers her parents' organic vegetables to Ms. Heath, but Cindy and other hosts reject them as unsafe and shameful, accusing the produce of unregulated pesticides and warning it will ruin the orphanage's image with elite donors. Cindy reminds Ms. Heath that her social standing depends on donations from the Shaws and threatens Lucy with ostracism. The key turn comes when Mr. Russo announces Ms. Parker's Winds Group gift: 100 million, a building, books, equipment and tablets. The episode closes with Lucy sidelined as the charity embraces a corporate benefactor, the class divide unresolved.
