A woman mistaken for a village girl/new cleaner walks into a place and is immediately taunted. Connor is positioned behind, told to watch and protect. Co-workers mock her, shout insults and even order someone to slap her and drive her away. She freezes, unable to answer, while one bystander's tone and presence trigger recognition: someone shouts that she is Ms. Clarke. Someone rushes over: "Ms. Clarke, it's good that you're safe. Please come with me! Go with him." She is led away amid unanswered questions, and the crowd's reaction remains unresolved.
