At a hurried wedding, a plainly dressed Celeste marries into the Leigh family while guests snicker and a rival openly vows, "only I deserve Michael" and control of the Leigh fortune. The couple file their marriage papers; the husband arranges a ride home for his new bride. Elsewhere a captured thug begs for mercy; his handler refuses cash but forces him into a staged scheme, promising he will still receive payment and a wife. The episode closes with a direct threat: "Michael, Melanie, enjoy the time you've got left.
