A concert erupts when the lead pianist from America oversleeps, enraging the audience and forcing organizer Ms. Lewis to apologize. When Mr. Dunn finally plays, the crowd is won and he's offered a spot with the Vienna Orchestra and urged to enter the Chopin Competition. Meanwhile Yale is called: his mother‑in‑law has advanced liver cancer and a matched liver requires immediate surgery costing hundreds of thousands. Yale has about $200,000 saved and will call his wife Quinn — but Quinn’s bank card was spent by a friend. The episode ends with the surgery fee unpaid and the family’s funds missing.
