Quinn is confronted by Yale's family and told his mother has advanced liver cancer and will remain disabled. They demand Quinn become her caregiver, calling it her duty; Freya and Quinn push back, recalling Yale's promise that Quinn would never do housework. The family shames Quinn and accuses Yale of dumping responsibility while he spends time with a mistress. Quinn refuses to sacrifice her life to care for the patient. Tensions peak when Yale, frustrated, breaks the standoff with a flat command: "Quinn, let's get a divorce." The episode ends on that unresolved split.
