Recovering Mr. Quinn is pressured by colleagues to hire a secretary after his recent car accident. Candidates are presented, but Cheryl Yates arrives late and he immediately recognizes her, recalling an earlier crash he thought had kept them apart. Contrary to expectations, he chooses her for the position. When he realizes Cheryl's goal isn't him, he snaps, "I'm done loving you. Do whatever you want." As staff react, he confronts her with a pointed reminder: "Ms. Yates, did you forget what I said on the highway?"
