When a first-generation smart robot is damaged, surveillance footage shows Frank tripped it. Frank admits it was an accident and offers to pay, but the robot costs $78 million and he can't raise the sum. Charles is pushed to take responsibility while colleagues note the Yates family's wealth dwarfs the Quinns. Then an assistant announces Ms. Yates, the Yates heiress, has bought the robot as Marvin Quinn's first order. Ms. Yates isn't present and Charles, who has never met her, is left obliged to accept her unexpected purchase and later thank a stranger who cleared his debt.
