Lara returns to a gathering and is urged by someone to keep a secret from Quentin. Quentin greets her sharply for being away; others step in. Attention shifts to a pregnant woman—no drinking, dry off your clothes—who is fussed over. Lara admits she can't have children after taking a knife for Quentin five years ago and feels betrayed because he now has a child with another woman. An embarrassed apology follows and staff tell Lara to go change. As she's escorted out, the instruction to hide her truth and the rift with Quentin remain unresolved.
