When Anna's rare blood is needed, Quentin confronts a reluctant donor and demands she give blood to save Anna and her baby. The donor refuses, insisting "If I do, I'll die," and resists as Quentin tries to force her; family members argue about exile and divorce while Quentin defends Lara and vows to marry her. The transfusion is attempted anyway. Afterward, staff report Ms. Dawson suffered ischemia from the transfusion and has stopped breathing while medics rush to save the grandson. The episode ends with the donor collapsing and the baby's fate unresolved.
