A heavily pregnant woman rushes to deliver the money she’s earned for her boyfriend’s medical treatment. Neighbors and her mother remark she works multiple jobs to afford the surgery. When staff mention Mr. Charlie Lewis, the city's young philanthropist, someone assumes she’s Charlie’s wife. She tells the doctor she finally has the money for his surgery. The doctor then reveals Charlie's condition has worsened. The episode ends with her savings finally assembled but Charlie’s survival and whether the surgery can proceed left unresolved.
